Static's All About Books

If I am to be passionate about anything, it would be about the most important thing in the cosmos: you. ... I have an insatiable thirst for words.

Tokyo Ghoul Volume One by Sui Ishida

Tokyo Ghoul, Volume 1 - Sui Ishida

I finished reading chapters 1 through 9 after watching the anime.

Oh, the things I've missed.

I can't wait to start on volume two!

The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger

I didn't like it nor dislike it. The only thing I could really complain about is that, during the very last part of the book, Clare seemed unrealistic.

Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick

Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock - Matthew Quick

It was a well written story, of course, but it just gives the wrong message. If you feel homicidal, suicidal, or both, get help! Don't be like the main character and just eat pancakes and think everything's going to be hunky-dory.

Guts by Chuck Palahniuk

Guts - Chuck Palahniuk

I don't know why I read this, but it's brilliant. The author managed to keep me reading, and in some cases, did a good job of 'showing' and not 'telling'.

Good luck if you decide to read it, and if you do, don't read it in public. :) Don't make my mistake please.
